Jared is almost 5.5 months now, but better late than never right? Here is what he has been up to in the last month:
- He is not quite 16.5 pounds.
- His sleep habits have deteriorated. He went from waking up once in a 12 hour stretch to waking up every 1.5-2 hours (sometimes it is every 45 minutes). We adjusted his schedule so he is going to bed a little later (8 pm) which has seemed to help a little.
- Along with bad sleep habits, he has also demanded that he be swaddled to sleep. He will sleep for 3-4 hours (one time even 8) if he is swaddled now. We hadn't swaddled him to sleep since he was 2 months old when he decided that he didn't want to be swaddled!
- He has also mastered rolling both directions, and wants to sleep on his tummy (see the dilemma with swaddling). Most of the time he sleeps on his side as a compromise, but I have him swaddled loose enough he can escape if he wants to.
- About the rolling, he is a little rolling pin! This makes him a little happier because he can move across the living room on his own, but he really wants to be able to move forwards and backwards.
- He can scoot the smallest amounts, however most of the time he ends up going backwards! He hasn't quite figured out that he needs to use his knees!
- He is already into everything, and he isn't even that mobile yet! If he can reach something, he gets it and it ends up in his mouth, particularly electronics. He gets quite upset when you take it away.
- He can sit on his own without any support. However, the only way he knows how to get back to the ground is to fall over, so I still don't leave him sitting very much.
- He hasn't had any solids yet, only small tastes of banana and sweet potato. He'll get to try real foods when he is 6 months. Mommy and Daddy are not excited to change those diapers!

Here are some other fun things about him:
- He started making noises when we bounce him on our knee. This isn't the best video, but it gets better at the end.
- He outgrew is size 6 month snow suit/coat, so I got him this one (on clearance at KMart for $10). It is size 12 months. Its a little big, but gives him some growing room.
- Here is how much he has grown. I can't put them all in the same picture anymore because it got too big and blogger wouldn't let me.

- Here is recent snapshot. He has been foaming at the mouth for a good 3 months now. It has gotten worse in the last month or so. He also loves his toes! He can't get enough of them!
