Idaho - Tax season 2015 trip

With Jared being in preschool, we had to take our trip to Idaho a little later this year.  We left April 1st and got back April 11th.  It was a little longer than normal, but we drove this time instead of flew.  I was really concerned about driving the whole way by myself with two kids, especially since Nicole isn't a huge fan of the car, but they did great!  I moved Jared's car seat to be next to Nicole, and that worked out just fine.  He would hand her stuff to play with/eat when she was upset.  My grandma flew into Boise on April 1st so we were able to have her along to help on the way up to Orofino.

Before leaving Orem, I made Nate some spaghetti to eat while we were gone.  That is a 2-gallon bag of noodles in case you are wondering!  Disclaimer:  This is what he requested.  I offered to make a few different things so he had variety, but he said that spaghetti would be just fine.

Jared was running a pretty good fever on Easter, and it snowed, so my sister hid the eggs in the basement for Jared to find.

11 months old and sick...

This is why I am a morning person!

It had been a while since I had been home while the daffodils in the woods were blooming!

I discovered that someone (possibly Brad) had written his name in the dust on the passenger's size vanity mirror in his pickup.  It was a nice reminder that he had been there.

Driving home through McCall, Idaho...even in the early spring it is beautiful!

On Saturday, April 4th, we buried my grandpa and grandma Huffman.  Grandma died December 29, 2012, and Grandpa died December 31, 2014.  It was their request to be cremated and buried together.

They were buried just over from my brother.  This is the first time I had been back since we buried his ashes in August 2013.

Since it is such a small and rural cemetery, we are able to dig holes and bury ashes on our own.

On Tuesday, April 7th, my Dad, Jared, and a neighbor and his grandson went on a Daniel Boone adventure through the woods.  I met then halfway and we ate hot dogs cooked over a campfire.

My Dad's special "brew" of orange juice, elderberry juice, and apple kiwi strawberry juice.

My parents got a new puppy while we were there!  Her name is Leia (since they have a Kanobi).  She is 3/4 Border Collie and 1/4 Australian Shepherd.  She was 6 weeks old when they got her.  She is so cute (but very hyper!)
