September 2015

September flew by!  Our 5-year anniversary was September 4th, and we went to Olive Garden.  For my gift Nate gave me a list of location options for a get-away next summer and had me choose.  I chose Bryce Canyon!  It was a tough decision, I had to choose from Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Redwood, Zion's, Arches, Glacier, and Bryce Canyon National Parks.  I chose that one because it would be completely new for both of us and it was one that we would be least likely to take a family vacation to.

Lisa and Kevin visited September 11-14, and they brought their new dog Piper!  It was a lot of fun! More on this in a separate post.

My birthday was September 17, and I got a new camera (and new camera bag and software to go with it)!  More on this in a separate post.

The weather finally cooled down a little bit, but it warmed back up by the end of the month.

After dinner on our anniversary we drove up to Dry Creek Canyon and relaxed for a little bit before picking up the kids from the baby sitter.

This girl uses a fork...by herself...well...she is growing up way too fast!

We finally figured out something to do with our hill....a slide!!  We are working on building a platform for it, but its not done yet.  It is great because if the kids fall off they don't fall very far!

She fell asleep during a walk...this doesn't happen very much anymore.  She is such a big girl!

Nicole LOVES animals!

Her first pony ride!

Jared loves pony rides too!

Jared had to do a preschool project on a bird and he chose chickens so we went to Farm Country to "research" them.  He is feeding the chickens with food from his pocket.

Here he is with his first homework assignment on chickens!  My printer is not working right and make everything pink, but he didn't care.

She is such a girl!

She was goofy at the doctor's office.

This kid is growing up too fast as well!

For my birthday we went to Cracker Barrel.  I love the rocking chairs (and Nicole's expression)!

He came up with this all on his own!

Shopping with her is becoming tricky.  She wants everything off the shelves and throws a fit if she doesn't get it.

Breakfast...I have no idea why they put their feet on the table.

Jared is "recycling".

Sunrise from our front door.

Nicole playing in the leaves!  Her first time since she was too young last year.  She loved it!

Sunset from our back patio.
